PP5MA (polypropylene glycol monomethacrylate) is a hydroxyl-functional methacrylate special functional monomer. With low glass transition temperature (Tg=-65°C) and hydrophobicity, it provides low glass transition temperature and low shrinkage during polymerization, providing excellent flexibility and aging resistance when incorporated into polymers.

Performance and Application

It exhibits excellent performance in polyhydroxyacrylic systems for automotive coatings and refinish coatings, particularly in terms of flexibility and aging resistance. It is hydrophobic, offers low glass transition temperature and low shrinkage during polymerization, and is a very good component of vacuum-impregnated aluminum castings, anaerobic adhesives and general sealants. This product is a firmly established blocking agent in polyurethane acrylate oligomers for the production of photopolymer printing plates and dry-resistant films. It is also an effective comonomer for the production of ethyl-based, acrylic and styrene acrylic decorative coatings.
